Entry Terms
A student is considered an international applicant if:
- You live outside Canada and need a visa or license to study in Canada.
- An international student already enrolled in the university's English Language Program (ESL.)
- An international student studying at another Canadian university.
- Lives and works in Canada but is not a citizen or permanent resident.
The university has a practical admission policy for most of its academic programs, but each program has its own requirements. Non-English speaking international students must meet the English language proficiency requirements and English language proficiency can be demonstrated by the following tests and results or their equivalent:
- TOEFL: 86, with a minimum skill score of 20.
- IELTS: 6.5 with no less than 5.5 in any skill.
- Pearson Academic Test: 58, with a minimum skill score of 55.
- CAE Exam: A C1 or C2 score of 180 or an acceptance score of C.
Students who do not meet the entry requirements can study the International Foundation Program to develop English language skills, complete required high school degrees, and earn these course credits or diplomas.
